Systems \ Process Units

The term Process Unit is used to represent an integrated system of equipment, meant to the manufacturing of a specific product. At its turn, a Process Unit is generally part of a group of Units which, all together, form an Industrial Complex. To be able to operate, a Process Unit needs a number of industrial services (utilities) as well as some specific infrastructures, commonly known as Offsites, located outside the process units but in close proximity with them. The following paragraph describes a few characteristics of the process design and Energeco capability to develop a complete “Process Package”.

Process Design Package

While the term “know how” includes a general knowledge of industrial processes, usually gained through tests conducted in laboratories or semi-industrial plants, Process Design is the discipline that enables the conversion of this knowledge into a set of documents, which serve as the basis for the implementation of a process plant. Process design activities may be developed by a process Licensor: this may occur, for example, when a patent is awarded for an innovative process.
